 | * Baltimore Christmas Workshop
Join Leslie each month as she discusses one of the Baltimore Christmas Quilt Blocks. She will cover block preparation for both needle turn and machine appliqué methods, block layout and will answer any questions you might have on the block. This is a lecture only class. Registration is open to anyone making the quilt - you don’t have to be a current Baltimore Christmas BOM subscriber, but the class is highly recommended to all participating in the BOM.

One definition of a basket case is a person who is worn out as from nervous tension. So if you are in need of some quilting therapy, Dr. Nancy advises you to take her class. Basket quilt block patterns have a timeless beauty. In this class we will make this basket pattern that is pieced with some (easy) machine applique. This daytime series runs from mid January through the first of March.. It is six fun filled sessions designed by Paula and Nancy to boost your confidence and skill level in quilt making. You will learn to coordinate fabrics and learn about color/value/intensity; piecing tips and tricks; no fear curved piecing; appliqué by hand and machine; setting options; choosing the best quilting motifs and executing them. The daytime series is offered on Wednesday mornings. The night series is offered on Thursday evenings.

Ann Harper has projects, ideas and expertise to share with you on March 16th. Work on our 2012 block of the month project, or just spend some quiet time stitching. Ann can guide you through all your hand stitching projects. This group will meet every other month for three hours.

Edyta Sitar’s spool quilt is made using strips of fabric in shades of coordinating colors or anything goes. Strip panels are a great way to use leftover fabrics or use those gorgeous jelly rolls in the shop. Leslie is teaching this class in two parts. You will learn how to make the Spool Blocks in Part 1.
