What's New at Kudzu Blossom Quilt Shop... August 11, 2008
Greetings from Kudzu Blossom Quilt Shop
Thanks to all that emailed me about my oops in the last e-letter. Don't you know I did it on purpose? (LOL - Laugh out loud). Just wanted to make sure you all were reading.
Have you ever read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle? It is a wonderful book that teaches children about eating healthy food. The book is full of beautifully colored drawings and lots of holes (made by the hungry caterpillar). This new line of fabric by Andover fabrics originally arrived in the shop several months ago, but it has sold out so often, I have hesitated to mention it. We are fully stocked (for the moment) so come in and check it out. We even have a beautiful sample made by Sue Medina.
Eric Carle LLC licensed the pictures from the book. I have seen the fabric used in two quilt magazines in various patterns. This pattern is free at the shop with fabric purchase. If you have a toddler in the family, what a perfect Holiday gift . . . a quilt and a book!
Sizzling Summer Sale . . . This Saturday, August 16
9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Our Sizzling Summer Sale is back this Saturday with a little Beach inspired fun. Let’s start with a little water, add a few floats and end with a little light reading:
• All blue and green fabrics 15% off. This includes the new
blue batiks you will just want to have.
• All grab bags 20% off. Stuffed in a quart plastic bag (like
a float), now you can see what you are getting. These
usually sale for $6.00 and contain lots of fabric!
• So that you may read your favorite book on the beach, all
books 15% off.
Hopefully, this sale will make the hot sizzle of summer a little cooler!
Our favorite needle threader just got better with a stand to keep it from wobbling! Why didn’t I think of this? If you aren’t familiar with the Clover Needle Threader, ask for a demonstration. With this needle threader, you can automatically thread thick or fine needles. Great for circular eye, oval eye or embroidery needles.
Hope to see you Saturday!
